Having wrapped up all the recording sessions and begun the mastering process, we decided to mix and release a single on WXPN. Damp Powder began seeing airplay on June 30th and was featured as a local pick of the day and also as a midday download. |

The boys have completed March recording sessions for the second disc, tentatively titled Things Unwind. An early May session is scheduled for guest musicians, then it's mixing, mastering and production. For now, we're anticipating a June release show. After charming some, plying others with appletinis, tricking a few and whooping up the ones that just wouldn't listen to reason, we've finally got all the ducks in a row. We're proud to announce that Slimfit will be appearing at the Chameleon Club with Lancaster favorites Perkasie and prodigal daughter Madi Diaz in an XPN-backed event at the Chameleon Club on a very special Sunday evening: the 8th of March. Something tells us you really don't want to miss this one. |

We've just learned that Make it Worse is listed in the #10 slot on Tupelo Honey's Best Albums of 2008 post. Only a feller who calls himself Shotgun Majors would actually have the brass ones to rank it above Lucinda Williams' Little Honey. We are humbly honored. |

We had an almost unforgettable (if it weren't for the whiskey) time playing WXPN's Local Showcase in the Lizard Lounge of the Chameleon with Farewell Flight and The Sleeping World earlier this month. Fortunately for us, the performance was recorded and will be broadcast tonight on WXPN. If you miss it, you can listen online at XPN's website in the following weeks.
